Become a Friend of AIM Ireland
A partnership pathway for organisations who want to support, engage with, and do business with Ireland’s independent music community.
What “Friend of AIM Ireland” means
AIM Ireland is the trade body for Ireland’s independent music sector. We represent independent music businesses and professionals through advocacy, knowledge-sharing, and collective action.
A Friend of AIM Ireland is a business or organisation in the wider music landscape that wants to connect with, support, and work constructively with Ireland’s independent music community.
Friends range from global companies to local Irish businesses. What they share is a commitment to sustainable, mutually beneficial relationships with the independent sector.

What collaboration can look like
We shape activity based on member priorities and what is useful to the independent community. Friends typically work with AIM Ireland across a mix of:
- Member-facing communication (updates, announcements, opportunities)
- Education and knowledge-sharing (sessions, panels, webinars, briefings)
- Events and networking (supporting or co-delivering activity that benefits members)
- Content and visibility (news features and structured partner spotlights)
- Research and insight (responsible ways to learn from the sector and improve offerings)
What Friends receive
Friends of AIM Ireland may receive support and visibility through:
- Direct promotion of relevant opportunities to AIM Ireland members
- Opportunities to speak directly to the membership at suitable events or sessions
- Priority consideration for sponsorship of AIM Ireland activity and assets
- Campaign support where activity is aligned with independent music and member benefit
Exact activity depends on fit, timing, and what best serves members.
What the independent sector gets
The Friends programme exists to bring practical value into the independent ecosystem, such as:
- Better access to tools, knowledge, and specialist expertise
- Stronger pathways for business development and sustainable growth
- More informed products and services for independent music businesses
- Additional support for member programming and sector-building work
This is part of our wider principle: supporting those who support the arts.
